I Hate Class Discussions



I’m in AP english, i hate having the need to always force myself speak in front of the class , especially during in- class discussion time. But i’m not a quiet person, i like talking to people and small groups, but when it comes to speaking in front larger groups or whole class , i hate it.


A quiz at the beginning of class may well increase class discussion by encouraging students to come prepared and ready to talk. Finally, the “think-pair-share” is a strategy that will assist introverts (allowing for time to reflect and process) and students from other cultures (better defined expectations for class participation).

This semester marks my enrollment in the most online classes I have ever been in at once. This semester has also cemented my dislike for online classes , especially when they are literature classes . A literature college class is based almost completely in discussion . You read a book. You come into class .

I took AP classes in high school so I finished all of my core classes after only two semester in college. This means I had to pick a major so I chose Engineering. All of my classes this semester are hella boring (Pre-Calc, Intro to Engineering, some GIS course, and a Lit).
